I am cruising with a nice steady pace through the mall. Wandering here and there basically killing time. Walking into every store looking for something to buy because I just inherited 2 million dollars from my freakishly wealthy aunt who recently died. As I find nothing that I like, I feel very upset and a little mad. That’s when it hits me, how about buy my favorite things that I’d always wanted. Firstly a champion Saddlebred horse that can walk, extended walk, controlled trot, trot, rack, canter, lope, hand gallop, and gallop. Next is a sweet yet energetic border collie with superior intelligence and strength. Next a two story dog house that my border collie would love.
The elegant and amazing Saddlebred I would buy is a regale mare with a long, flowing, jet black mane that glistens in the sun light, like a million lightning bugs just sprinkled their wonderful glow upon her. Although before we go and further what is a Saddlebred? A saddle bred is a large high-stepping horse with a well proportioned body. Next is her coat, it would be as black as the midnight sky and have a radiant glow. And even from far back you could see her muscles ripple and twitch under her coat. Her hoofs would shine like the sun and be solid black. She would have strength beyond compare and would have extremely smooth gates. I would show her in many saddle seat competitions along with my favorite horse sport, show jumping. Standing at 16.3 hands tall (roughly 5 feet 9 inches at the shoulder). Being able to race the wind and gallop in and endless sea of pleasure and bliss. Never would she loose her footing or spook. In every show we enter she would perform with great hopes and would never let me down.
As all horse owners know you need either another horse or a dog. The dog for me is undeniably a border collie. One who will be an agility champion and always pad alongside me. He should be able to run with me and my horse in the day and curl up with me at night. The personality of him is perfect, sweet, joyful, kind, and loyal. His coat will be jet black and vibrant white. Black sharp claws, a black and white tail with a slight brush to it, and padded paws. With long flowing fur that glistens and shines. Piercing brown eyes and a solid black nose ties this wonderful hound together.
A truly amazing dog like this certainly deserves an incredible dog house or a two story dog paradise. While a normal dog would appreciate a simple 4 foot by 3 foot dog house I believe my dog should live an awesome life and that means a giant, elegant, two story dog house with windows. Let’s start with the entrance it is extravagant and wonderful, with dog pictures and paintings all over the deep blue and white walls. Next as you walk through the hallway into his eating room, on each wall there are many authentic dog bowls in countless colors and patterns and over 100 kinds of top quality food and can be picked by my dog each day. Head up the stairs and notice his bedroom where he sleeps on his giant dog bed with velvet and fleece sheets and fluffy pillows lined with lace and embroidered with dog prints. Out in the yard there is a pool shaped like a dog bone with crystal clear water. In the back there is a huge yard with squishy green grass. In the front yard there is hedges modeled after my dog and his best friends.
Overall I love all of my new items very much. I have a great time in all of my shows with my black mount. Also my wonderful companion, my border collie with his coat so soft. And his one-of-a-kind dog house where he can lounge around all day. My life now is amazing and full of splendor and joy. I cannot imagine anything better.

Speak
Everyone hates you. You used to have many friends but now you have lost them. Making no new friends because no one wants to be friends who got many people arrested and ticketed. An outcast, a fear, a disappointment. No one wants you; even your own parents act as if you are invisible. All of this just because you crashed a party in late August by calling the cops. Would you want to live like this for a whole grueling painful year? Seriously would you? I know I wouldn't, but in the book "Speak" Milinda Sordino had to spend her Freshmen year being laughed at, made fun of, and a year of being a nobody. Yet throughout the book Laurie Halse Anderson drizzled symbols everywhere but the two biggest ones were her mirror and Andy Evens.
The mirror was bitter sweet in the book. In the beginning and most of the book the mirror was a sign of terror for Milinda. But towards the end it saved her. To Milinda the mirror symbolized herself which made her even more depressed than she already was. Later on in the book it was clear that it was a symbol of true anger and hate, mostly because Milinda hated everything about her life, her parents, her old friends, Andy Evens, etc. Milinda avoided mirrors as much as possible and even took down her bedroom mirror and turned it to the wall in her closet, obviously symbolizing her extreme depression and anger to herself. But in the end it symbolized protection for her when she saved herself from Andy Evens.
Andy symbolized a stark fear to Milinda. A horror, a beast, a complete freak. He was a symbol of strangeness and fury. When people started ignoring him he was shocked, a clue is to why he also symbolized confusion and oddness. Also in the book Milinda described Andy's hands as hot knife hands. To me this explains why she calls him Andy Beast or IT. I would say that he symbolizes a monster or a creep for what he does to people. I agree with Milinda about how he symbolizes a terror. In the end when Andy attacks her another symbol saves her from some serious injuries.
Overall this book was incredible and really showed the pains of being hated. And only wanting someone that actually cared about you. Speak had many symbols like Ivy, the girl who understood how Milinda felt in her lonely life. Along with the opposite person, a beast, Andy Evens the most brutal and painful man in the world. Finally her mirror, a symbol of herself and depression. Because of all of this it can make teens going through a similar pain feel less alone.
