Sunday was bittersweet

On Sunday me and a friend set up all morning for the big surprise party for her cousin's best friend. The truth is that we don't exactly like her and because her cousin backed out and did nothing much less show up we were really mad. We had gotten a blank cake then we decorated it ourselves plus got 4 pizzas and many other decorations. When we finished setting up we sat there at the park and waited. Soon after an hour and a half my mom called and asked us about it. All we said was no one showed up and that many of them who RSVP ed told us they didn't want to go or didn't call at all. Now as you can imagine we were very ticked off with them and so we called my mom back and then she sent my dad to pick us up. Now I forgot to mention that the birthday girl's mom told us that morning that she was taking her out of town and kept on telling us that we never told her even though we had been planning it for months and we DID tell her. So about an hour after we left the park she shows up there and we are on the point of who cares just take her home. Basically her mom lied to us and now we officially hate her. The worst problem was we had all that food and nothing to do with it. Well it just so happens that it was my Aunt Dottie's Birthday so we gave it to her and all the rest of the food was server at our big Worcester party. My Uncle chuck loved it more than anyone. So you could say that even though the first 5 hours of the day sucked it all turned out all right.

  1. What a disaster! It definitely sounds like some major miscommunication occurred. Before deciding to "hate" someone, you owe it to a friend to find out what happened. Remember the novel Speak? If you don't ask questions, you'll never find out the real story.
